Kent Independent Film shares updates across its growing slate of independent productions
Kent Independent Film is pleased to share the latest news from its current and upcoming projects, alongside updates from our sister company Triad Productions, developing original genre-led features.
Both companies work closely together while maintaining distinct creative identities, united by a shared commitment to bold storytelling and independent filmmaking.
The Final Act – a Triad Productions film
Triad Productions’ latest feature is The Final Act, a supernatural thriller directed by Steve Davis.
The film stars Lauren Murrell, Jack Willcox, Lottie Binks and Ava Wright, all making their feature film debuts.
The Final Act follows a young team of paranormal investigators filming an episode of their TV show, Britain’s Got Ghosts. When they agree to spend the night locked inside the abandoned Abbey Theatre, a routine investigation quickly becomes a fight for survival as they realise they are not alone — and that something within the building is watching.
Christmas Presence – a Triad Productions film
Triad Productions has also confirmed that Christmas Presence is currently in development. The festive horror feature will star Ellie-Mae Dymott and Lauren Murrell, blending seasonal atmosphere with supernatural tension. Further details will be announced as the project progresses.
The Screaming Woods – a Kent Independent Film production
Kent Independent Film continues work on The Screaming Woods, a found-footage horror feature set near Britain’s most haunted woods in and around Pluckley, Kent.
The film follows a small documentary team, played by Lauren Murrell, Jack Willcox and Ava Wright, who travel to the area to explore the village’s long-standing reputation for ghost sightings and unexplained phenomena. As part of their investigation, they interview a number of local residents — portrayed by Paul Terry, Tony Burden, Vanessa Terry, Tyler Johnson, Gary JJ Spate and Steve Davis — each offering their own accounts, warnings and pieces of local folklore.
As the documentary progresses and the team ventures deeper into the woods themselves, it becomes increasingly clear that the legends they are uncovering may not simply be stories passed down through generations, but something far more real — and far more dangerous.
Kent Independent Film and Triad Productions continue to collaborate while pursuing their own creative paths, developing distinctive independent films that champion emerging talent and original genre storytelling.
