Folkestone, Kent – FHODS Youth Section, in collaboration with Kent Independent Film, is proud to announce the premiere of their latest joint project, When The Tanks Roll By. This innovative production, which blends short film and live theatre, offers a poignant and emotional journey through the eyes of soldiers and their families during the tumult of war. When The Tanks Roll By takes audiences through key moments of World War II while also touching on the impact of World War I and modern conflicts across the globe.

The show has been crafted by the talented young members of the FHODS Youth Section, with contributions from Kent Independent Film and members of the Adult FHODS Section. The project marks an exciting new step in the youth section’s creative journey, combining narrative film with live performance for a truly unique viewing experience.

The production explores the harrowing realities of war, featuring gripping scenes that highlight the personal stories of soldiers on the front lines, as well as the families they leave behind. Drawing on history and contemporary global conflicts, When The Tanks Roll By offers an emotionally charged reflection on sacrifice, survival, and resilience.

The FHODS Youth Section has previously wowed audiences with their performances of Disney’s Newsies JR., the full version of Into the Woods, Bugsy Malone, and their own devised play Parasomnia.
