THE CLIENT

TroubaDoor’Matt is a multi-instrument musician and vocalist from Ashford, Kent. Over the years he has performed in numerous venues and events as a soloist and in a band releasing many albums in the process.

THE BRIEF

We were approached by Matt to produce a micro-budget simple music video to his song ‘ShoesOverPylons’. He asked for the video to be in one location with very few long shots akin to The Verve’s ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’.

THE RESULT

Matt had requested a single continuous shot throughout the whole video but it became apparent while on location that although entirely possible the video would have come out quite boring so we quickly improvised by adding quirky gimmicks including the motion blurring of the feet movements and using the hat to cut between scenes. Various colour grades were used throughout the video.
