The List has been named the Best Film in the third qualifying round of the Hellfire Short Film Festival 2017.
Having beat off eight other entrants, The List became the third finalist for the inaugural Hellfire Short Film Festival Grand Final that takes place in Autumn 2017. The third qualifying round included many amazing short films and to be crowned as the best is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.
In attendance was the director Steve Davis and lead actor Paul Terry with his family. Collecting the “finalist” accolade a delighted Steve said: “it’s one of the most amazing achievements just to see one of your own creations on the big screen but to actually win on the night is just the icing on the cake.”
The List is a psychological drama/thriller short film with no dialogue, just one suited man with a gun and a victim. Nobody knows until near the end why he’s there, who the victim is and why.
Steve added: “The List was knocked together in a few days between shoots for a feature film just to keep ourselves busy so it was entirely unexpected that it would get anywhere so it’s nice to know that people love what we do.”
The Hellfire Short Film Festival’s entries are judged by the viewing audience.
